The many years of dedicated construction activities in the city center as part of the federal and state "Socially Integrative City" program have paid off. As a result, the district is once again an interesting place to live. In the course of the historicizing reconstruction, the streetscape matured from a patchwork of asphalt to a cobblestone beauty. On the Schießplatz street, the old charm blossomed with a shell limestone-colored GDM.APPIA stone pavement in a row bond. Some of the traffic areas in the narrow spaces were upgraded to the same level for better usability.
