The new cultural center has noticeably revitalized the town of around 8,500 inhabitants in the Upper Palatinate. The architecture and open space design convey a clear architectural attitude and quality. An elementary component is the so-called town square as a representative entrance situation and attractive place to spend time. For the circulation areas, the planning team developed a differentiated surface concept with platings in a strip pattern to emphasize the town hall and smaller stone formats in the multifunctional square space.
