Arnulfpark, Munich
A new urban quarter with a good 1,000 apartments and 4,500 workplaces is being developed on the site of Munich's old container station. The completed construction phases promise an urban highlight. The Metris office building with its 11-storey main building and the renovated combined heat and power plant, which will be used for theater in the future, are representative of this. The squares in the district are dominated by shot-peened high-grade slabs in the project color yellow with contrasting bands. Handmade tree slices fit perfectly into the tonality of the paving and the rhythm of the laying pattern.
