ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Passau
ZF Friedrichshafen AG's transmission technology was already used in the engines of the early Zeppelins. Nowadays, the automotive supplier, which has advanced to become a global player, is much more concerned with autonomous and electric vehicles. It is also busy building, for example in Passau at the new headquarters of the Industrial Technology Division. A good 700 ZF employees now work there, having previously been spread across two locations in the town.
