A good 30 years after the US Army left the district town of Neu-Ulm, the conversion plans for the former Wiley Barracks are coming to fruition. One of the results is the independent Wiley-Süd district, which is now home to more than 3,300 residents. The district square, the result of a competition, impressed the jury with its extroverted concept and interesting staging, including large-format polygonal slabs, which were developed together with the planning office.
