It's amazing what eco-paving systems can now achieve. Infiltration and evaporation, of course, but also groundwater protection, as with the GDM.GEO stone proActive paving with abZ*. Around 8,500 square meters of this type of stone now pave the traffic areas of a new housing estate in the Eiche district of Potsdam. Groundwater protection is achieved within the paving surface with special paving stones, joints and bedding material. Water-polluting substances such as heavy metals, fuels or engine oil are filtered, absorbed or converted into non-critical substances.
