Spreeturm, Berlin
Berlin's thriving Mediaspree district is now also aiming high. The new addition, the Spreeturm, measures around 70 m and is now a landmark between Ostbahnhof, Mercedes-Benz Arena and Oberbaumbrücke. Not a skyscraper, but a remarkable high-rise with a delicately networked aluminum frame façade, two-storey lobby, tailor-made exterior flooring and an artfully staged entrance situation that immediately attracts everyone's attention. The tenants on the 20 floors come from the commercial and gastronomy sectors.
