The new Blumenfeld school complex in Zurich's Affoltern district is the answer to the rapid development in local housing construction. The competition winners have also equipped the building site with central functions for the growing district. The school building will temporarily become a community center and the outdoor facilities will become an urban open space and the hub of the neighborhood. The urban significance of the location is expressed in the spacious and elegant surface architecture - high-quality concrete slabs on wide corridors and in the form of stone stack sculptures characterize the image.
