From redevelopment case to promenade: The Boieldieu Terraces in the Parisian high-rise district of La Défense have made a name for themselves. Built in the 1960s, the pavements and waterproofing of the elevated pedestrian zone were recently in a desolate state. In addition, the approximately 16,000 square meter traffic area was anything but barrier-free. It took two years to rejuvenate the new city floor, including smart street lighting and additional green spaces that make living between the office building and shopping center more pleasant.
