New stones pave the way to the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The setting is Valeska-Gert-Straße, an elegantly designed 200-meter-long access road to the large multifunctional hall, which can accommodate up to 17,000 seated and standing guests. The new paving is a component of the so-called Anschutz-Areal, a lively urban quarter along the East Side Gallery with a mixture of leisure, sports and cultural uses as well as stores, offices, hotels and apartments.
