Motel One Munich-Haidhausen, Munich
The flourishing Munich district of Haidhausen does not offer much space for major new construction projects. The site of the former Grombach timber office on the corner of Rosenheimerstrasse and Orleansstrasse has become one of the district's prime properties. Today, a multi-storey hotel, residential and office building with an inner courtyard presents itself as a green oasis of calm. The outdoor area offers the heterogeneous "house community" recreational opportunities in the form of play areas and a restaurant terrace for motel guests.
