After extensive building modernization, the parish of St. Kilian in the north of Schweinfurt has made a great leap into the barrier-free present. The glazed cube between the rectory and church immediately catches the eye. The clearly contoured connecting building replaces the former saddle-roofed sexton's house and is home to rooms for youth work and an elevator. Inviting outdoor facilities round off the attractive ensemble. To this end, the area was first lowered to sidewalk level and then accentuated with shell limestone-colored concrete stones and steps.
