Town center, Maitenbeth
In the Upper Bavarian community of Maitenbeth, old and new blend together sensitively. The redesign around the listed Alte Post, St. Agatha church and the new town hall building was not without controversy. However, thanks to clever planning, it was possible to link the areas and create a noticeable and appealing town center. One visible sign of this is the continuous surface covering with a selected color triad in sandstone tones. The project received a "commendation" at the 2020 German Urban Development Award.
