Under the theme "Nature. Connected." the new Kirchheim park combines wilderness, water, forest and meadows - four contrasting atmospheres - as tangible and usable ecological retreats in the middle of the city.
The community park picks up on the motifs of nature and is based on the existing landscape features and the urban development links. The four park spheres were designed with different park images and ecological development scenarios. The result is a park with strong sensory contrasts and a valuable network of diverse natural habitats. The Luther Garden, which is laid out under apple trees as a communal garden, forms a fifth sphere.
Of great importance for the Kirchheim State Garden Show are the eleven themed gardens, which are contributed by specialist gardening and landscaping companies, landscape architects, associations and universities.
The "Garden of Diversity" theme garden is characterized in particular by the use of regional plants and building materials. Various design elements from European countries form a diverse yet harmonious unit: Mediterranean walls that transition from GDM.KLASSIK wall to GDM.DECA wall and then to GDM.MOLINA wall and atmospheric containers, sculptures and fountains made of English cast stone - all manufactured in Bavaria.
